MADD - MUSIC VIDEO
In collaboration with Jak Bannon, I worked to bring the visual aesthetic of this music video for MADD to fruition.
Several sessions of creative research, reference curation, and technique exploration led to the development of the filmic, duo tone style we landed on.
Over 4,800 frames were printed and scanned to bring unique layers of texture + movement to the video.
Each frame was manually assembled into the final timeline.
Theo Rocquancourt (@theorocq) developed the end 3D sequence of the video utilizing Unreal Engine and Guassian Splatting techniques.
I also worked on the credit title animation at the end of this video.
Below are some BTS photos + videos taken throughout the development of this project.
A few alternate versions of scenes/aesthetics can be seen here, and while these moments didn’t make the final cut, the teachings from those experiments informed the character of our final work.
“It doesn’t have to work to matter.” - a sticky note I posted to my wall during the production of this project

A cyber/glitch visual direction we experimented with in the initial stages (more of this below)
Another example of the cyber/glitch visual direction we experimented with but ultimately didn’t use.
